The initial consultation and assessment consists of a review of your medical history and any existing conditions, injuries or concerns.  This is followed by a full postural and biomechanic assessment, which includes strength and flexibility testing, sensory and reflex change, and joint mobility testing for the spine and peripheral joints.

You will normally be asked to remove some of your clothing and to perform a simple series of movements.  Suzanne will then use a highly developed sense of touch called palpation, to identify any areas of restriction of movement, weakness or strain throughout the body.

Additional investigations such as X-Rays, MRI scans or blood tests may be required.  This allows for a comprehensive diagnosis and suitable treatment plan to be formulated for you.

The Practice has the facility to refer patients to a consultant radiologist for private MRI scan investigations which may usually be arranged within two to three days.

Patients may prefer to bring shorts to wear during their treatment, or to wear underclothes that they feel comfortable in.  Patient’s dignity is respected at all times throughout the examination & treatment procedures.
