Learn to Nordic Walk
and turn every walk into a workout!
Nordic Walking was originally invented by elite cross country skiers to enable them to maintain their fitness levels throughout the summer months. It has now developed into a popular way for people of all ages and levels of fitness to increase their own fitness, tone muscles, lose weight and improve their general health.
Unlike when trekking or rambling, Nordic Walking poles are planted behind you in order to propel you along. This action engages the whole body and makes you feel significantly lighter on your feet. This has four major advantages:
- Uses 90% of all the major muscles in your body. The upper body becomes toned in addition to legs.
- Burns up to 50% more calories by walking with the poles. This assists with weight loss of course.
- Nordic Walking relieves the pressure on knees and joints and is very helpful for back and neck problems.
- Turns even a short walk into a workout!
However, in order to gain the maximum benefit from Nordic Walking, it is essential to learn the correct technique from a qualified NORDIC WALKING UK Instructor.
Two 1 hour lessons are recommended to master the correct technique
£60.00 for an individual tuition lesson of 1 hour.
£60.00 for a couple taking tuition together. 1 hour.
£40.00 each for 3 persons taking tuition together. 1 hour.
Includes the hire of Nordic Walking poles for your lessons
